Protochirotherium wolfhagense

This is a life sized model of a Protochirotherium wolfhagense (about 2 meters along the spine), which is only known from fossilized footprints found in Triassic sediments.
But ichnological studies presume that the animal, which produced these footprints belongs into the group of Rauisuchia. So my restoration is based on animals from this group.

It was commissioned by the Regionalmuseum Wolfhager Land, Wolfhagen, Germany.

The cast is glass fiber reinforced plastic painted with acrylics.
